The original use of the 218 East 7th Street building is unclear, but in its early beginnings, the Boiler Room indeed served its namesake purpose.  On what was once street level, the Boiler Room housed two massive coal-powered steam boilers. Upon acquiring the building, the founders did not know of the room's existence until renovations began. The discovery proved to be both a huge burden, and a sweet treasure. After rigorous TLC and excavation, the Boiler Room is now our prized, soundproof recording and performance space. With its historic limestone and concrete walls intact, this studio offers contemporary purpose to a once decommissioned space. With a new ceiling, floor and stage, the Boiler Room is ready to host some of the coolest, most eclectic music and entertainment in town. The venue's pilot series began Friday September 6th.
