Tom Reynen is a photographer living in Shoreview, MN after growing up in St Paul and attending St Agnes High School and the College of St Thomas. His work has been exhibited in a number of local shows and galleries including the Mill District Arts Gallery, AZ Gallery, The Show Gallery, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Altered Esthetics, Artists Mercantile, Minnetonka Center for the Arts, Robbin Gallery and the Hopkins Center for the Arts. His photographs have been published in the Travel and Home & Garden sections of the Minneapolis StarTribune newspaper. He has exhibited at both the St Paul Art Crawl and at Art-A-Whirl and Art Attack in Northeast Minneapolis. He sells his photography at galleries and online and has expanded the value of his portfolio by using his photographs on a variety of products ranging from notecards to totebags to umbrellas to clothing to shower curtains. He is also available for hire to touch up vacation photos or to take photos for social media.
Tom is a member of the board and past President of the St Paul Art Collective as well as Vice-President of Gallery 96, a non-profits arts organization which highlights art in a variety of media by artists in the northern St Paul MN suburbs. He is a member and treasurer of the AZ Gallery, an artists’ co-op in the Lowertown neighborhood of St Paul. He is also a member of the Twin Cities Photography Group and has taught classes there. Tom has a photography studio at 357 E Kellogg Blvd in Lowertown in the restored 1903 Great Northern Warehouse building.
Tom plans to teach a class that focuses on the business of photography, such as how to find opportunities to exhibit and sell your work locally and online, how to prepare your photographs for sale and display, how to create products using your photographs and how to turn your hobby into a business.
