OCTOBER SHOW "Structural Calm" by John Sheridan, Oct. 9th 5-8pm Opening and Artist Talk

Lately, I’ve been inspired by the in-between sweet spot of “structure” and “fluidity”. Often seen as polar opposites -- I find freedom and a sense of calm when centered within the spectrum of the two.

Creating structure allows me to pursue. To say no to what I don’t want, and “hell yes” to what I do. When I focus less on rules, restrictions, and distractions and instead pivot my attention to commitment, boundaries, self-love, and compassion — I make room for the space to create.

I call this space “Structural Calm”.

The art, music, and atmosphere within this gallery reflect the work created in this headspace.

NOVEMBER SHOW "Transformation" by Art From The Inside

Transformation is an exhibition presented by Art from the Inside featuring artwork by incarcerated artists from Minnesota Correctional Facilities in Stillwater and Shakopee that reflects their personal transformation and restoration through creative, visual expression.

Art from the Inside is an organization founded by correctional officer Antonio Espinosa that empowers incarcerated people to rediscover purpose, inspiration, and an outlet for emotions through art, while creating a platform for dialogue about the complexities of our criminal justice system through exhibitions of their work. Transformation reflects the power of art to help imagine new ways of being and to foster recognition of our individual and collective power to change.

Keep an eye out for these amazing opportunities to experience our great community and it's creations!
