Allison Craver

Allison Rose Craver grew up in East Aurora, NY. She received an MFA from Ohio State University in 2017, and holds a BFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Allison currently resides in Saint Paul, MN. She maintains a professional studio practice and works out of Lacuna Gallery, a contemporary ceramic art space in south Minneapolis. Though she comes from a traditional pottery background her current work is sculptural, utilizing ceramic materials in conjunction with fiber and found objects to explore the nature of care and labor. Her practice embraces material exploration and play.

Allison has been teaching ceramics to children and adults of all skill levels for nearly ten years. In addition to providing instruction at Creators Space she is also a lecturer in the Art Department at the University of Minnesota. She is always inspired by her students and finds that teaching fuels her creativity.
